What Is Spirituality? A Primer For Adults

Spirituality often gets shrouded in mystery, conjuring images of monks chanting or following strict religious doctrines. But for me, it’s a far more personal and transformative journey. It’s about cultivating a sense of connection to something bigger than myself, finding purpose, and ultimately, discovering ways to feel happy and peaceful within.

Remember that feeling of awe when you find a giant seashell or see a school of colorful fish swimming by? That feeling of wonder is part of spirituality! It’s like being an explorer on the beach, always curious about the amazing things around you. The next time you see a bright sunset or a fluffy cloud shaped like a dragon, take a moment to appreciate the beauty and mystery of the world!

Imagine life as a vast ocean, full of wonder and mystery. Spirituality is like building your own little boat to sail these uncharted waters. Keep asking questions, be open to new experiences, and find what sets your soul sailing. The most captivating journeys are often the ones we embark on with curiosity, kindness, and a sense of wonder.
